Advies vergoeding zorg aan transseksuelen - Advice for health insurance for transsexuals.

Bijgaand treft u het ‘Advies vergoeding van zorg voor transseksuelen ten laste van de basisverzekering’ aan zoals dat in februari door de genderteams van het VUMC en UMCG, Stichting Nederlands Gendercentrum en Humanitas is aangeboden aan het College van Zorg Verzekeraars. Dit advies is door de CVZ niet overgenomen en dus niet doorgezet naar de regering waarmee de misstanden in het vergoedingenstelsel zoals in dit advies benoemd zijn blijven voortbestaan. Dit document is gepubliceerd door de CVZ op hun website.

Attached you’ll find the ‘Advice for reembursement of care for transsexuals by the basic insurance’ as it was presented to the CVZ (Bureau for Health Insurances) by the Dutch gender teams of the Free University and Groningen Medical Centers, the Humanitas foundation and the Dutch Gendercentre Foundation.
This advice was not followed and  the CVZ did not advice the government for changing the current insurance policy. The faults within the insurance system as described in the advice will continu to exist. This document was published by th CVZ on their website.
